Comfort
Medium: Oil paint on canvas board, acrylic paint, and faux fur
(11 in x 14 in)
With this piece, I wanted to portray my interpretation of what comfort can feel like. For many people, including myself, compression (like weighted blankets, hugs, and holding hands) helps to reduce anxiety and stress. I wanted this piece to be slightly unnerving in a near-sorrowful way. The lamb head symbolizes the innocence of the action, which otherwise may be interpreted as indecent.
